UT3 cfg

Hi all,

 

My 1.3 is working very nice, I even made lines for "Cmd line changer" so your customer can totally configure it, ofcourse without configuring player slots, ip , port and query port. I attached the config.

 

If anyone has anything to add I would be pleased.

Using that config, the user would be unable to edit the slot count and such as you say, and having viewd the command line, they are indeed admin only.

 

However you only have %usercmdline% foer the sustom line option, and this confuses me. If the user can create their own command line, but cant change the command line options for slots etc, they would then be left from the command line and the server would not work.

 

Have I got that wrong?

Am I right in saying that even with the 1.3 patch, server still require a gamespy id to be listed?

Hello, I uploaded Gorans UT3 file, with the latest UT3 server patch, but tcadmin still recognizes it is down. Any help?

because the query port is wrong for a start

it should be 6500

You must use the -login= and -password= command line for the server to register. I just tested a v2.0 server and it would not work without logging into the account server.

that login and password command is for my ut3 login? or. . .

It' the gamespy id and password.

 

You can set it up with a default one, especially for testing.

 

Then, use the command line feature to allow users to input there own. (Obvioulsy let them know they need to, or ask for it as part of your sign up process

They should enter their own via the command line changer. That is how I setup my TCAdmin game config.
