Auto Setup Fails

Hi All.

Im currently in the middle of moving over to clientexec from modernbill. However i have hit a problem.

When i place a test order in clientexec and activate it, TCAdmin comes up with the error:

GSAutomation.Processes.CreateGameServer: There are no available servers for auto setup in datacenter *** (*** being whichever datacenter i try)

As far as i can see, all the settings look correct to me. The automation goes through from modernbill without a hitch. The service limit in TCAdmin has not been reached, I have tried setting the server up with a game_level setting and also without the game_level setting, but to no prevail.

I have attached a screenshot of what settings i have configured for the TCAdmin plugin under package manager.

I'm stumped, dont see where the issue could be. any ideas? ( i have also posted this on the CE forums to see if anybody over there has any ideas)

Thanks for any help that i can get on this.

If your willing / able to i could arrange access to view the current settings of my CE / TCA.

Again, thanks for trying.

ok i have just tried it with using the setup page (tca) and now when i go to that i get:

Error: There are no locations configured with the files for this game. Please contact your game server provider with this error message.

http://81.19.219.136:81/Templates/Default/autosetup.aspx?setupid=TC48007343352278818252421

Still works fine when the order is sent from MB or if done via "create a game & Voice Server" on TCA.

Very strange...

That wasnt it............... But I have it :D :D :D

In Admin Home > System Settings > Servers > Server Details , under the billing API section, there is a list of the games available for the server......

You have to physically click on them to highlight them in blue, this then makes them available.

I presumed that the fact that they were in the box, meant they were selected.

This is actually quite fustrating, as that is bit of a bad user interface issue, and should be made more clearer.

Still, I am now there and the words automation can be striken from my vocabulary :D

Thanks for any/all help you guys have given.

Not that Im bone picking, but we had to ditch modernbill, as it wasnt compatible with TCA, hence our move to WHMCS.

Incidentally, I was talking about the interface for setting up your servers API billing settings, which you have to do for any billing system ;)

Which isnt your fault, it was either have a billing system which worked with TCA, but was extremly dated regarding functionality (V4), or have a new billing system which didn't work with TCA, and was rife with glitches and unneccesary complexities.

Compared to the 6 weeks we spent just installing and configuring MB, the last week and a half that weve had WHMCS (in which we installed, FULLY configured, and got 100% working) has been a breeze.

Though that is nothing on you guys, my experience with TCA isnt bad, far from it, ist amazing.

I just thought an 'allow' tickbox would have been easier than having to highlight the games.

ECF, he was talking about having to go to the ADMIN section of TCADMIN and physically highlight EVERY game you want to be able to install. in TCADMIN, not the billing systems. YOu know, highlight each game while holding down the CTRL key? That is your system!

And this is relevant to this conversation how? Please do not post here stating 'It is a problem with YOUR system."

We do not support this integration because we had nothing to do with its creation and or support. This was a module created by another software vendor, and these forums are for user to user help.

So please do not come in here pointing fingers at this and that. WE DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THIS INTEGRATION!

I don't think it gets any clearer than that does it?

WOW, did I miss something? Did you delete something ECF, or was VicToMeyeZR post a day late(or so). :~ Valid point on your part though none the less ECF.

I am 100% sure that it is not a TCA problem for what it matters ninetoes(not that you implied it was, I am just clarifying ;) ). Also if you have not already, be sure to check ClientExecs forums. I stumbled for about 2 hours with the identical error listed originally in this thread and my problem was that I thought that I needed an entry for each TCA server. I was trying to create a "server" for each of my TCA servers(my master, secondary, etc.) You only want the one for your "MasterServer". After you have that set right it works like a charm. Very pleased with ClientExec and TCAdmin!

Mr. Victor up there with his IT IS YOUR SYSTEM REMARK! is what set me off. I don't like people coming in these forums and pointing fingers since we had nothing to do with these integrations. Even if it is a problem with TCAdmin we still will not support it. The only support module is the Modernbill module.

People need to understand that these billing systems can change things at any given time which may break the integration. It is not our place to support them. I guess that was my point in the post above.

>End Rant
