Seems the punkbuster updater thats in tcadmin no longer works..is there a fix for this????

why i should not work? For AA load thats file: http://punkbuster.com/downloads/aao/pbsvnew.dll thats it.....

Remember that TCAdmin downloads the latest server .dll file. If there are connection issues between your server and the evebalance servers the updated files may not be downloaded. Also I have noticed lately that client files have not been updating automatically for some games that I run, so it could be an issue on their end as well.

I also noticed specifiaclly on COD4 that it only updates if you have the latest .dll and a new one comes out. If you install a server that has say 2 or 3 updates behind the current it won't pull the update. Maybe pb is checking and the update is incremental? (Requires v3 to put in v4 if running v2 do nothing kind of thing)

 

I know it says it has downloaded the new .dll but it never takes unless it's from the latest last released.

You can also force the update by opening the running pb_sv_update in the console.

Another thing I found helps is restarting punkbuster several minutes after forcing an update.
