Issues with TCAdmin and a Game Server and other issues

Hi all,

We are very new to this and we would like to see if we can get some help.

We are running multiple games and one of them is N2K3, seems this isn't a very popular game for this TCAdmin from the searches. We have tried alot of the things some posted and

Anyways we have it set up with a config file, and seems everything is looking good. But for some reason it isn't connecting to the server.exe file on the server. I also have it set to interact with the desktop and it won't even load that up on the server screen. So thats telling me that from TCAdmin to the server it is losing the command to start the server. We are able to change the config files and that works on the server but again server.exe isn't executing. We have actually gone on the server and clicked the the server.exe file in C:\Users\Username\TCxxxxx\server.exe and it loads fine.

Also on other games the Interact on Desktop doesn't work as well and would like to have that functioning on some of the servers to test them.

Looking for help please.

Thanx

Hello ECF,

Thanks for the quick response. Ok I have followed that troubleshooter with the " Run the game server without TCAdmin with the same command line TCAdmin uses" section and my Commandline test worked flawless. Now I went into the Game Console to verify the Working directory and this is what I have:

Application Directory - "C:\Users\my_directory\GameServers\TC21710353315778664114303\server.exe"

Working Directory - "C:\Users\my_Directory\GameServers\TC21710353315778664114303\"

So it seems this is all working properly, just not firing up the server.exe file.

All my other server work fine without a hitch. This is the only one that is causing this.

Again thanks.

Console mode on remote desktop refers to altering the remote desktop shortcut so that you connect to session zero as normally it just connects to another session, like a new user logging onto a computer is not going to see what the other user was doing logging into different sessions will prevent you from seeing what is occuring in other sessions.

Your shortcut should be as follows %SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exe /admin

The different is the /admin at the end. ;)

Thanks for the input folks.

Ok I will try this alittle later as far as the interacting with Desktop stuff. My primary concern now is getting TC Admin to run the server.exe file. I have 1 client now who is running N2K3 and I have to manually go to the server and get him fired up 4 times a week until this issue is resolved.

Ok still having the issues with TC Admin connecting to the server.exe file. Gonna submit a ticket on this as it seems nothing seems to be working right.

Also I am now finding out I am unable to run more then 1 N2K3 Server at a time. When I run 2 or more I am getting this message in the game text console:

channel[1]...:Server could not listen for new network connections.

...

...

channel[21]...:Server could not listen for new network connections.

Constantly scrolling from Channel 1 - 21

Whats a shame is that I have found out the GSP's that are currently running N2K3 that have came here before in the past to get help for themselves seems once they got the help they don't return. I tried contacting 2 members of a GSP site via email/PM through their site to ask them for some help and they have yet to reply. Seems they don't want to be bothered or to share their information.

Update!

I was able to get rid of that scrolling Channel issue and now able to run more then one server, but the issue with TC Admin not connecting to the server.exe file is still at large.

What is the directory structure of the game install and what do have set for the relative path to the executable?
