Cant start server

I have downloaded Call of duty 2 from steam, instaled it in C://Gameinstalls/COD2 Install patch 1.3, and i cant start server. It says that the server is started, but the console is not apearing, and server is not running. Please help

That is because you downloaded it from STEAM. I guarantee you that if you did a Interact With Desktop and click start you will get a "Can't Find STEAM" error message.

 

You should purchase a cd/dvd copy, install it on your pc and upload it.

Like I said, you can NOT used downloadable games for TCAdmin unless you overwrite the game's exe with a cd/dvd copy. When you exe the game it is looking for the software it downloaded from, in this case STEAM, to verify the game files are legally purchased software.

Zip up a fresh patched install and FTP it to your server. That is what the rest of us have done. (or if you have physical access to the server, install from the DVD)

so in c:\gameinstalls\cod2\ i must have a zipped game files or unzipped?

In c:\gameinstalls\cod2\ you would have it unzipped

 

If zipped it would be c:\gameinstalls\cod2.zp or c:\gameinstalls\cod2.rar

Your TCA config for cod2 probably does not match your directory structure.

Your inability to comprehend a panel does not make it crap. It does however show your lack of willingness to to read tutorials and these forums thouroghly indicating that

 

1. You have ADD

 

2. Are impatient and not willing to research for yourself.

Technically yes. But that would be against Activision's license agreement. Basically it is illegal to do so. But it can be done.
