jointopz
I have caught a couple of my customers upping their slot count. In cod4 and codWaW even in other games, all they have to do is set the sv_maxclients setting to change their slot count to whatever they want. Of course after one warning of their server being cancelled, it stops. Im just wondering if theres a way to stop them from entering certain commands. Or override them if they are entered. Thanks
ECF
Just enter sv_maxclients or whatever other command you don't want them to access in the disallowed commands in the commandline editor when you create a new command for client access. JasonF
You should also consider enabling the game monitor feature to see if a client has increased their slot count. If they do then TCAdmin will automatically stop the game server and disable it requiring them to contact you to have it renabled. You would receive a email saying that they increased their slot count.
Dan M
Ensure the config file is executed before the slot count in the command line, this solves most issues.
JasonF
A fair number of games can have a config exe after the server has started up. This is true for Quake 3 engine, CoD Series, HL and HL2 based games. Login as admin via rcon then do the following: exec server.cfg
