Setting mail

Is there away to make the mail server use SSL and port 465?

 

Because we have set it up correctly and its not working we think it will work in SSL mode

That I understand it, TCAdmin only uses port 25 for email.

well that crap. i use the same settings as i did with my old host cause it uses the same url for my smtp server. login still the same.

 

and i gett an error saying it cant connect to the server. but i can use the same settings in my windows mail and connect fine.

I think one of the last updates allowed another port.

If you run your own DNS many (if not all) DNS servers can also port forward. So even if TcAdmin only uses port 25 you can switch it over to any port you desire.

So you have or have not tried adding in mail.yourdomain.com: port#

mail.yourdomain.com: port# <--- doesnt work for me even when doing a secure connection

 

our mail server works fine since we do use windows mail ( microsoft outlook ) we use port 25 just fine.
