well old method works about reg file I mentionned in another thread to simulate install on dedicated. Just applied the patch directly on the dedi, now zipping the touched files.

some previous patch was touching about 6Gb+.

 

The patch itself isnt that big (only 90Mb) but it modifies a total of 5Gb files.

again you can just use the registry trick I posted on these forums for a previosu patch (use search) to make the patch think you got arma installed on the server so u can just dl the 90Mb patch and apply it on ur game files.

I got the v.1.07 to work and have a few servers up.

 

What is the issue tho? crashes?

Ours are working but we had to add this to the command line : -exthreads=1

no its 5GB+ fiels and I already explained how to patch the gameinstalls even if you didnt install the game on the box in a previosu thread

If you got 32 bits OS make a .reg file with these contents :

change path and key to yours (check your key on ur own install)

export yours (from your own PC install) to get your HEX key.

 

 

Also post your reg file contents hiding the end of the key to compare

Ours are working but we had to add this to the command line : -exthreads=1

 

We host an absolute ton of these servers and have had no issues nor any need for the exthreads addition.

If you read the actuall description of Operation Arrowhead it clearly states

 

 

This is a Stand alone Expansion

 

 

Just modify a ArmA2 cfg to use the new exe and thats about it.

 

Make sure you update to V1.52 for the server binary.

just saw that. I noticed the default installation is the same directory of ARMA 2.

 

Have you test out the cpu resource yet? any improvement or still the same?

about CPU its arma so just stop asking, since IA is calculated by server you will always have huge CPU load, some missions taking more than others

 

edit : Im selling a guide to limit the CPU usage, tested with up to -50% on arma2 if ur interested check my signature

That's not gonna get you Combined Operations with Operation Arrowhead and ArmA II.
