DamienWebb
Is there a way to auto setup FTP using an FTP client on Cent OS Linux for clients? No one can get into their FTP using the supplied TCAdmin FTP settings. --------------------------- I tested it after I disabled the firewall and restarted the monitor to make sure the firewall isn't blocking FTP and I keep getting: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server". LFA
Stop the monitor and start it in console mode. Make sure it is starting correctly: cd /home/tcadmin/Monitor ./monitor-service stop ./monitor-consoleAlso the default ftp port is 8821. Make sure you are connecting to the correct port. DamienWebb
I am not behind a firewall and I still get: Response: 530 FTP access is disabled. Here my monitor via ssh: [root@localhost ~]# cd /home/tcadmin/Monitor [root@localhost Monitor]# ./monitor-service stop The TCAdmin Monitor has been stopped [root@localhost Monitor]# ./monitor-console TCAdmin - The Game Hosting Control Panel /usr/sbin/setenforce: SELinux is disabled Software Version : 2.0.65.0 Mono Version : 2.10.8 Linux 32 bits Monitor Ports : Secure: 8891 Standard: 8890 uPnP Port Forwarding : Disabled Current User : root Database Engine : MySQL (HTTP Protocol) Database Cache : Enabled Starting the Monitor Web Service... The Monitor Web Service has been started. Starting the Task Scheduler... The Task Scheduler has been started. Starting the Game Monitor Service... The Game Monitor Service has been started. Starting the FTP Service... The FTP Service (v1) has been started on 0.0.0.0:8821. The Remote Monitor has been started on localhost.localdomain Seems like FTP is disabled but when I type ftp in the it says unknown command. I thought that tcadmin had its own built in FTP program for users? Edited November 26, 2012 by DamienWebb
ECF
TCAdmin does have it's own built in FTP server. Your post shows the FTP service is atrting correctly. The FTP Service (v1) has been started on 0.0.0.0:8821. The Remote Monitor has been started on localhost.localdomain However it looks like the monitor is starting as localhost. Which means you need port forward any IPs and services through your firewall to an external IP.
DamienWebb
Like I stated I am not using a firewall while I at least try to get it working.
ECF
Then this is your problem: The Remote Monitor has been started on localhost.localdomain Change your config on your master to an external IP and not localhost.
DamienWebb
So to any of the IP's that are in the list? But that means that all users will have to use one single ip to connect correct? Or can they use THEIR servers IP to FTP? The IP that will be used by the FTP server. Leave Blank to use all available IP's.
LFA
"FTP access is disabled." means the user's role has ftp access disabled. User Management > Roles > Select the role. Enable the FTP Server > FTP Access permission.
Steve-TGM
The issue he was having was he was using the wrong port for FTP.

LFA
Did you enable ftp access in the user's role?
DamienWebb
It ended up being VM not owning the permissions of the resellers account and root on the linux box having its own permissions.. All fixed now.
