gijs007
I've seen some GSP's which use WHMCS and advertise with the ability to change a clients server location from the controlpanel. We would like to implement the same and have the server location as upgradeable configurable option, but once a client changes his location in WHMCS we still have to manually move it over in TCadmin. So I was if anyone could tell us how we can configure this.
CloudCUBE
As far as i know the API doesn't have a hook for the move feature. so it's impossible.
ECF
The companies you see advertising this most likely coded their own move system and have it embedded in the control panel using the scripting feature.
Virtuel-Network
how to create this script ?
Dennis
That would require custom code. It's very unlikely that those companies wants to share the script.
NRTServers
I don't know if I would be wanting to give this as a open option..Hell they would be moving servers during prime time if it blinked. If a client wants to try another location, we just have them submit a ticket, then I control when it gets moved..and at the same time use the TCAdmin feature to not delete the current one till I make sure all is moved and it is up. and running. A few clicks of the mouse in TCAdmin is far better than the client moving all over the world when they like.. Automation is a great thing...but I like to be able to control where they go .. That is just my opinion.. Dave
Dennis
Not to mention you could end up with a server that has more services than it can handle.
