  1. I have this game running on 6 boxes, but only 1 is working properly, the rest cannot be queried and don't show any cpu load = nobody is on them. Must be some required OS package?
  2. Nehalem Xeons 2.33-3.4GHz. On a 2.33GHz single quad, can only run 3 Games and it uses about 70-80 % cpu. With 4 games 100% cpu. Same server can probably run 12-15 "normal" game servers.
  3. I only have a few servers up so far, but I'm using the default IP on the box and increasing ports. Give that a try if you are using more than on IP.
  4. In HLSW you can put in the query port (e.g. 27016) and it will show the status.
  5. This game is a CPU hog, it's using a whole CPU core for 16 players.

You're a ranked partner but don't know how to make your own TCA config? LOL.
  7. Hey ViolentCrimes, if you have any questions on setup let me know, I can probably help out.
  8. Hi, I'm a UT guru, if you need help with the DA2 servers let me know, I'm just getting it setup myself but I've been running UT based games for 10 years. Also I run MidnightGaming.net, if you are ever in the market for new dedicated servers or colo I can help get you a good deal, I have some connections.

  9. Too bad it uses 15% CPU core at idle. F'n retarded Epic.
  10. Lazy ass console copout bullshit... I hope the console market dies a quick and firery death.
  11. Nope. They are hosting it and charging people themselves, following the model of M$ and P$3.
  12. When you say boost, what do you mean exactly? Pingboost? -pingboost 3 or you need to replace tickrate with sys_tickrate -console -game cstrike +ip %serverip% -port %serverport% +maxplayers %slots% +sys_ticrate 512 +exec server.cfg +map de_dust2
  13. On some forums they said the game will have no dedicated server option. But I will wait and see, I think those kids don't know one way or the other.
  14. Anyone able to get coop mode working? In the command line I added: ?GAME=R6Game.R6CoopTerroristHuntGame And in the ini file I have m_eGameMode=GAMEMODE_TERROHUNT The game shows up in the game browser as Attack & Defend game type, but plays as COOP TerroristHunt mode, until the map changes, when it reverts to Attack & Defend. Anyone know how to make this game work like it is supposed to? That is stay on the right game mode, show up properly in the game list, and cycle maps properly?
  15. Haven't had this problem yet with CODWAW, but I had the same problem with UT3 PS3 version on Vista/2008. On that game though it was not able to read a d3d driver file. I haven't tried the retail version of the game yet, I hope this is not the same issue.
  16. Ya what is with game developers these days? It's like they could care less about putting out a good game.
  17. We had the same thought on the pricing. Started at $6 because of the ridiculous idle performance, but after seeing the CPU scale to terribly with just a few players we had to up it. Seems game server hosts pretty much agree on the price for this game so far. I wonder if GameServers.com will offer it at $.99
  18. It won't check the slots if there is no query protocol.
  19. I just changed our prices. $129.99 16 slots min (about $8/slot). LOL? Who is going to buy this game at that rate. They obviously intended this game to be single player only.
  20. Is it throwing an error in the server log? First you need to be able to run the server from a command line, using a .bat file. Once you get that working properly, you can setup TCAdmin using the command line from the .bat file.
  21. I did a check on all the files accessed when starting up the server and startserver.bat is nowhere to be found. Probably in memory only like you said. Why they would try to hide the command line from everyone is a mystery, what is the point of doing that? Do they want their game to have zero servers? Morons.
  22. The CPU usage for this game is ridiculous. It uses a whole CPU core at idle. Basically not worth hosting commercially, even if we did have some way to control it, which we don't. Is it just me, or are game companies just getting more and more stupid with every game they put out? They are going backwards. I guess this is the bane of the consoles. They don't give an F about PCs anymore. Good job UBI, I give you the finger!
  23. Try using ProcessExplorer (google it) I think? if you click the process in the list you will be able to see the sub threads of the game, and which core they are running on. But don't quote me on that.
  24. Hey thanks for the fast response.
