it does work without steam, i dont have an account setup yet so it does go to lan, there is a config file where you can put account details in though..

AA3 dedicated server is on steam now, although im unsure what the steam name is for direct download.

is there any prefix to adding it to the config, or is it as above VACSecured=true it seems to be a bit hit and miss on my 3 servers i have running. sometimes it says enabled, sometimes it doesnt.

i notice the latest update add's a query port to the ini file after 1st run, no point adding it to the config as it auto generates, even on the none default port nice work on sussing it out.

in the default config files you need to change the port to %serverport%, otherwise its ok i uploaded mine but you will need to change the email body and the rackage related messages in the default config, otherwise its tried and tested with firewall scripts thanks to louise Killing Floor.txt

would have been nice if they mentioned they had updated the dedi servers soon after release, i ran steam update and its working now. thanks for the help louise, i just popped my cherry on UT2004 based servers

my server doesnt show in the master server list, nor can i connect. i wonder if the query port needs changing?

change to port=%serverport% it needs changing in the original download to allow multiple servers.

i still cant get it to "just load" maps in the right mode using the built in map vote

i notice the updates also hosed the game mode on my servers.. its not switching between coop, vs or survival any more. i had ot add a config file to do it manaully

its just stopped working now on several servers, manually starting it is fine, even using the tcadminconsole works fine, it doesnt run via control panel though.

i just downloaded this from ea downloader and theres no dedi server file in bin32 :|
