He has been awfully quiet...

Not a good idea as when you use the STEAM update feature on client servers it will not find the install. Unless you don't use the update feature.
-
Seems like a bitch to host but if their is a following for the game there may be a niche market for servers to pick up.
-
I know some of you guys have been playing around with the beta for a while now. No input on new features wanted?..... And I can't believe Bobby hasn't broken something yet

Menus have been tweaked. The breadcrumbs at the top of the page can now be moused over to open sub menus to allow faster navigation.
-
**Update** - With the latest version you can now mouse over the breadcrumbs at the top of the page which open sub-menus to allow for faster navigation throughout the panel.
-
**Update** - In the new version the window now autocloses and redirects you to the new gameservers overview page for the server you just created.

Just a note with the new GameTracker integration. You need to enable it in the Game Configuration file of each game. Look for the GT icon under the game config file to setup the integration.

With the beta of Version 2 undeway I think it is time to start collecting ideas from our users on what they would like to see for features and/or modules added. When you post your ideas please try to be as specific as possible and provide as much information as you can on how you would like to see the feature/module work. **PLEASE NOTE** This forum is for ideas only! Just because an idea is posted does NOT mean it will be added to TCAdmin. Also note that we are simply collecting ideas. Please do not ask when a certain feature will be added etc.. Think of this forum as a think tank where users can bounce ideas off us as well as other users. Please do not post bug reports here. Use the proper forum. Thanks!

Daniel, Please edit your first post. Our company is completely against the transferring of purchased game files. This is essentialy asking someone to be a warez provider for you if you are asking for game files for games that must be purchased. Regardless of your intentions the wording in your post states "game files" clearly. If you need some help with game configs and additional mods then by all means please feel free to ask for it. However as stated above most companies will not simply hand over all their configs that they spent time working on. Here is a link to one of our KB articles for both STEAM and other dedicated server files: http://clients.tcadmin.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displaycat&catid=3 Thank you!

Agreed. The autoclose is a must.

I was looking at that myself the other night Rich. Thanks for bring it up as I forgot about it... I am thinking this system will be tweaked some more as I can see your point, but I can also see people not wanting to see the status window as well. Maybe an on/off switch may be in order...

Here is a link to the tutorials on Teamspeak's website. I would suggest everyone check them out. They have just released a new tut on the permission system that might help some users. http://teamspeak.com/?page=tutorials

I know many users out there are searching for a TS overlay program similar to the one that was created for TS2. Here is a link to one which Florence over at Triton CA gave me: http://www.projecttint.com/editions_std.php We have not used this program and cannot say if it works or not. but according to their website it is a viable option. I also mentioned to Florence that a overlay system built into TS3 would be an excellent idea. He agreed. So we may see an overlay in TS3 in the future.

Just noticed that the mail template editor is not displaying for me in IE8. I let Luis know.

Please use this forum to post any TCA2 game and/or voice config files that you would like to share with others. You should include the current operating system you are running. Also, please make sure to use the "search" feature of the forums before requesting a config, as many have already been posted. This will cut down on multiple threads for the same config. Thank you!

Now that we have release beta 2 I am sure that the testers that have it will find some bugs/problems. If you could all please post the issues here in this thread using the following pattern. TCAdmin Version: Operating System: (make sure to include 32 bit or 64 bit) Machine Specs: such as RAM CPU etc... Database Type: A detailed description of the problem and any steps required to reproduce the problem. Also please let us know if it happens "everytime" or only at certain times. Lastly, please start a new thread for each issue/bug that you find and try to keep the threads on topic. *Please note we are currently not going to be taking any feature requests or changes. We are strictly looking for bugs in the existing beta version. Once the beta is stable then we will begin to accept requests so please write them down and save then as you are navigating through the panel. Thank you all for you help and time in testing Beta 2! Kevin and Luis

What OS are you testing on Rich? -
No feedback from the testers yet. I think many of them are gathering some new hardware to test on. Once we get the major bugs worked out we will be moving onto adding features. So it may be a bit before a public beta will be availible. I have played around with it a bit and I can say one thing, it is much faster than version 1. And the general functionality is working fine and is stable.
-
Sorry... It really is that much better than the current version even in its unfinished state.

I am hoping that V2 will cover all the essential wants of today's GSP. Working with our first version has taught us a lot and we have learned the mistakes we made along the way. With the newer tecnology v2 will be a lot leaner and faster than v1. I keep forgetting that v1 has technology that is now 5-6 years old in it. I am excited to see what you guys think of the new design and enhanced performance, along with the modular design which will allow us to create new modules to perform specific functions without having to recode.

Just to keep you folks updated on the beta testing here is some information. 1. Luis has told me that the beta test should be ready by the end of this month or early next month. 2. We have picked 4 companies to do the initial test. Please do not ask which companies, thanks. 3. Once the initial beta has been tested by these companies for major bugs/issues Luis will release fixes etc... 4. After the new software is deemed runnable without major errors then it will be pushed out to all clients currently registered to see these forums. 5. The beta will NOT be production ready, and you CANNOT run it in a production environment. The new license and documentation will clearly state this, and anyone found running the software in production or publically will have their beta license terminated and will be removed from the beta testers group. 6. Support for the beta of version 2 will take a back seat to our current support load for version 1. So responses will most likely take longer than current support issues. Once we have reached a stage where the software seems stable we will then start taking module requests. We fully plan to have v2 be a client based project where your input will shape the software. We are very excited about the new version and hope that all testers involved will get us some feedback on how we can make it better. That is all I have for right now.
