  1. It was actually posted in the TCAdmin V2 bugs area? Not sure how that is 'linux' only support -- Just providing some help -- I can provide the same for *ix, however no ones requested it yet. Typically the providers utilizing *ix as a OS know how to update the servers properly.
  2. do it the other way around --- This patch file includes the following: Simply un-rar this, and paste into your 'orangebox' directory....No need to reset startup lines to 'css' folder and move everything. Appears 'css' folder was a typo, and will be restored back to 'orangebox' so utilize this patch and save yourself the effort of moving everything then moving everything back next update. Windows Build CS:Source - Touched files from 10/13/11 Update - Mani Admin 1.2.26 Patch +10/14/11 Gametypes (NO CONFIGS) - SourceMod HG3187 (NO CONFIGS) - MetaMod Source HG777 (NO CONFIGS) 780mb link: http://fileb.ag/l7ex60mlhjli (register for faster download speeds - We support TCAdmin -- You should too! 3. You would do the same, just make sure you copy the .db file from the old server to the new server--and obviously skip the mysql steps.
  4. definitely would not recommend this. -- Running the panel is one thing, but a server is a whole different ballgame.
  5. You still need to use the port.. https://gpanel.specialforces-gaming.com:8880
  6. You could currently do this with a simple script as well. Mod one of the public domain scripts on this site a bit to basically archive up the touched files of a directory and dump the .zip/.rar/.gz into the users home dir. Then simply create a custom link from within the control panel to execute the script. When they click that link in their panel it will execute the script creating the archive and making it available for your customers. You could take it a step further like we do and have it rsync the files offsite as well....This is what we have done for years now. A built in feature would be cool also however :}
  7. it isn't available at the moment -- and I personally actually requested it already so I agree with you...lol you can set the server display name manually however to kinda achieve the same effect currently.
  8. Couldn't you accomplish this by just creating a "CSS Linux" and "CSS Windows" gametype with the appropriate archive in each?
  9. basically, storing passwords using reversible encryption is nearly the same as storing plain text vers of the passwords. The system will store the passwords with a reversible encryption...Basically, allowing you to decrypt it.... Typically, the purpose of this would be to provide apps that use protocols that might require the user's password for auth purposes. I guess you will be relying on customers utilizing secure passwords? We all know thats a joke though .... I agree with the OP....I'm sure Luis can elaborate though on his reasoning.
  10. There are many examples of this in the forums already, and pretty sure a thread that explains how to do it. It is absolutely possible though...Just do a search on the forums here for 'integration' to find the threads, and examples. Here is a thread pointing to someone that you could pay to do it: http://clientforums.tcadmin.com/showthread.php?t=7028&highlight=intergration -Adam
  11. I agree, this would be nice feature. If taken a step further though so that the user could utilize either email, username or both would be even better. Then you could cover 100% of those clients preferences.
  12. could be any number of things... check your command line, check that you properly installed the plugin - rename the addons directory to addons_ and try starting it, if it starts then you installed the plugin wrong (make sure you utilize the linux versions of the plugins!!!) If you specifically copied windows 'installs' over to linux and then setup the gameserver in the control panel you are going to have issues -- make sure all your mods and whatnot are configured and properly installed for linux distro and not windows. If thats not the issue, let us know and I'm sure we can provide some more pointers. ..Or you can just use the search function on the forums lol
  13. Hrm, Just for comparison... I just was able to build mono fine off a 32bit and 64bit deb5 build from linode...I imagine there is a bunch missing from their repo for whoever is providing your VPS.

    My V2 Theme

I'm assuming this? http://velocitygamingonline.com/forum/index.php oh and boo! theres Jon!
  15. to expand on the fileserver module a bit...A nice feature request would be.... Seeing how the games are getting larger and larger and larger, and while utilizing 'region' specific fileservers and keeping local copies of the files, it would be an awesome feature for TCA2 to be able to read multiple volume archives, and the ability to resume a transfer if it the connection hangs for some reason. TCA2 could create a directory 'COD8' in its gamefiles area then inside the directory would be 'COD8.rar' COD8.ra1...COD8.ra2...COD8.ra3 etc.. When a game is installed, it simply un-archives the volumes instead of 1 file. Eventually, could be taken even a step further by allowing the file bits to be obtained from multiple fileservers, decreasing the order->provision time immensely.
  16. How did you try installing it? Using the repos? sudo apt-get install mono or by downloading the bin from the project website? http://www.mono-project.com/Downloads If you tried one way, but not the other, try that...
  17. So far so good - couple hiccups to second guess yourself over during install on *ix but figured it out. Lookin nice, lovin the AJAX. Thumbs up guys! Question: Will you still be accepting suggestions after initial bug reporting/fixes and out of open beta ? +100 on me at the slots How can you turn that down?!
  18. Woopz, gotcha... Yeah - echoing a message would be helpful there
  19. Not sure here...but When proceeding through installer if you select mysql enter in details, and they are wrong (in this case remote db server needed ip allowed) and then proceed it will recognize that the details are now correct but not import database schema in /home/tcadmin/database/MySQL.sql
  20. never know till its released
  21. If you have a copy of the config, I can create the tca game config for you quickly, if your looking to learn just take a peak at how the others were done -- it really is pretty simple and easy to figure out. Cheers!
  22. Use google translator on all those .br sites that offer info on the game. Majority of those guys got that game figured out to the T. Thats how I learned how to get all that crap working. What a pain in the ass that game is. Whats your outstanding issues atm? -Adam
  23. What version of the game are you running? 1.0 or 1.1? Make sure you have D.E.P to AlwaysOff. -Adam
  24. This game is very tricky to get working. Can you please explain your setup currently, so I can better assist you. There are many different issues that can cause the game to not run properly. -Adam
