Last Steam Update

FUBAR or is it just me? Having all sorts of problems with TF2 and GMod installs...

 

Can't get GMod to run in sandbox mod for the life of me... Even with the defaultgamemode switch set to sandbox... Still wants to run in default garys mod mode. ARGH...

Dunno about TF2, I don't host that, but gmod yep, I have exactly the same problem as you, I've tried the default gamemode switch too, it's been broke for over a week now since the last update. I have no idea what the fix is, but some people seem to have them working.

No problem with GMOD or TF2 host both of them.

I know our TF2 dumped out on the weekend and is still down. Not even sure what is wrong yet... bah

I just created a TF2 server and it started fine. Creed, let me know if you need help getting it running.

If you put in a ticket Creed I can assign it to Jason if you like.

TF2 is having issues updating from the previous version.. You need to download a new full install of the server and it will run just fine. We had alot of issues with updating so I just made a new install pack and it runs fun.

Confirmed with Gmod as well. I've just downloaded a complete fresh install, and that's sorted it.

Jason and ECF, thanks for the help. The server is still having issues.

 

If I try what HIS-MOTHER suggested and it doesn't work I will put in a ticket and ask that Jason give me a hand.

Just in case some others have the same issue, Creed's issue was his TF2 query method was set to "Source". TF2 should be set to "Halflife2" since it does not run on the Source engine.

Hi Guys, we are also having al sorts of issues, We are having CSS & TF2 servers dump out regularly.

 

I'm having our devs look at the dump files, though early indication looks like it could actually be an issue with the steam server files themselves. It does seem to be tied to the files 'tier0.dll' and 'server.dll.'.

 

Once I have any info back from our dev team I will post here.
