lol... Sounds like your not doing it right. The game is trying to run on your local computer via your remote connection to the server. Can't do that.. Best bet to test is create a batch file with the command line it, and run that. Couldn't really tell you though, because I haven't seen a full version yet..

Your are not launching the game with a commandline then. The +set_dedicated 2 command starts the server in dedicated mode rather than starting the actual game itself. There is a full config for WAW in the config forums, simply import it and change the executable name from demo to whatever they named the full version exe.

i'm using the tcadmin game config posted , i have changed the executable to codwawmp.exe , the service starts but in taskmanager i see that it use only 10 -20 mbyte of ram and i cant query the server.

i have try on my local pc , if i start the server with usual command line it's generate a uhandle exeption error , if i set the (+sets dedicated 2 ) adding a S in the +set the game start with a black screen and after return in console mode and server starts.

the correct dx9dll is present in the game folder.

try with mstsc /admin logon but don't start on remote with a simple .bat

any suggestion to make it work?

its a bug,, everyone is having this issue. Only servers in lobby right now are being run by gui.

they say Treyarch will be releasing a patch to fix the remote desktop check when launching server via .bat script or whatever.

If you lauch CODWaWmp.exe on ure local pc you will notice the game is calling for the complete startup routine instead of just the dedicated server. It starts to load the splash screen then quickly closes into console giving the error. Definately a bug with the mp.exe.

yeah now it runs on the desktop in the console, but getting it running through tcadmin is proving a problem for me

That is correct. If i use a bat file and run it manulay from the box, ie, rdp, ie if I double click the .bat file it works. But using TCAdmin to run it is a no go. Server gets to about 10 or 11 meg ram usage then stops. Server will not run from TCAdmin.

If I double click the bat file the console window stays on the desktop, ie it will run. If the CoDWaWmp.exe is run as a service, ie, TCAdmin it will not run. Again it gets to about 10 or 11 meg then stops.

If I use TCAdmin to run the bat file still no go, will not boot the srerver. Same issue running as a service.
