Make sure you are setting ALL the ports in the example server.cfg.
avizeke
there has to be incriments thouh right ? from one server to the others. i have looked and even gone off the server.cfg and still had issues. i cant seem to connect more than one server on one ip with MW3. this could be due to how am doing the porting incriments..... I have 3 servers on 1 ip right now all showing up fine and running perfect.
avizeke
I now have 5 servers up and fully working, not tested the steam aspect yet but still the servers show and list. Please note that if you have multiple ips, i find that the primary ip only works !
LFA
You need to enable "Only use the server's primary IP" in the game's settings.
zelatech
You can actually run mw3 servers even on different IPs.

Molten
I can confirm you can have servers on multiple ip's per box.
DJzz
It'll run on multiple IPs but not all the ports bind correctly so you end up with the net_port binding on all IPs and even though the server will start and appear fine if people try to join a server not on the primary IP they could end up on a different server. Check netstat -a from command prompt and look for anything on 0.0.0.0 with the net_port port. Until the net_ip binding is properly fixed it's safest to only run servers on the primary IP. peace
Stupid question. Is there a console in MW3? I mean not rcon console that available on server but console in main menu.
Felipe T
Hey guys, I have downloaded the MW3 Server files from Steam (View->Tools), but it's not going online on my PC. Do I have to buy the game only for the purpose of running a dedicated server? Also, what's the best config: the one for zelatech or LFA? Tks
Felipe T
PS: The downloaded server files are 13GB, is it correct? Really big, no?
Goran
PS: The downloaded server files are 13GB, is it correct? Really big, no? Yes, however the list of unneeded files is at http://wiki.modsrepository.com/index.php/Call_of_Duty_8:_Unranked_Server_Files which will narrow the install to approx 7GB
peace
Does any of you have problem with rcon? On some servers it just doesnt work. Doesnt respond to commands.
