Well, is there anything else than:

login anonymous

app_update 233780

i have to do ? No subscription means i do not have the game on this steam account, if i login with my steamaccount which has this game i'm able to download.

But @Topic says "game not required" so im pretty confused.

do you have any other variable in the download ?

Well it's not that big problem as arma3 isn't doing that many updates.

On another machine same procedure same error, 233780 and 233780 -beta , im wondering what i missed to install.

I am using 233780 -beta

-beta are the server files only.

What if you try that manually via steamcmd?

I tried via SteamCMD and via TCAdmin, both resulted in "no subscription" ( no arma3 on this account ) as soon as i logged in with my steam account i was able to download it, with the same command.

Try with a new installation of SteamCMD. It might have saved something in a cache, resulting in the error.

Ok i will try, my version of steamcmd was the version included with tcadmin on a node set up for testing on friday, but we'll see :)

Edit: Same error

Set the correct account in the game config file under Steam.

Yes by default no missions are included, this goes for all the arma games. I always thought this was odd, you would think it'd make sense to have the server work right out of the box.

I was stumped on that bit at first when I was making the config.

It's pretty weird to me too.
