Hello. We you able to find a fix for this? I tried a few different things but didn't seem to work. I can on the windows services side the server starting and then after 10 seconds it restarts itself again. Must be a config issue. I know 7 Days To Die is super picky even when I hosted it just as is a while back. Thanks!

I have the game working now but the second instance likes to crash. I found out it's because the .exe file and possibly even a couple other folders needs to be renamed (ex. 7DaysToDieServer.exe for one.. second server 7DaysToDieServer2.exe)

Is there a way for tcadmin to be able to do that on the fly or are we going to have to do that manually?

You would not be able to change the exe name on the fly with TCAdmin. That would need to be done manually.

The only other way to do what you are asking is to have multiple game config files pointing to different executables.

Could also be fixed pretty quickly by allowing the use of variables in the executable name (if it's not already allowed).

Then the config could have a script that would execute after setting up the server, which changed the name of the executable from 7DaysToDieServer.exe to 7DaysToDieServer%ThisService_ServiceId%. All you had to do afterwards is setting the executable to 7DaysToDieServer%ThisService_ServiceId%. This would just create a problem with the way TCAdmin functions, as TCAdmin is checking for the executable file before the service is completely setup, and since we can't create a script that would change the name during the setup, the setup task won't be able to find the executable file.

Bet me to it :p @dennis

The eazy fix for this is to run on a Linux box. After testing all different ways over the last cup of days i have found windows is just shit from running it on made a config for linux and boom no prob at all.

This is just one of those games that likes to be a bitch at the best of times.

That would open up a big security hole which I won't even get into :p

It would? Huh, I didn't even know that.

I know you mentioned that you wouldn't get into the issue, but can you give just a tiny hint? I'm not saying that users should be able to change the name of the executable file :)

Hey i just downloaded the version of numpty, the server say running but i dont see it in steam or anywhere and the port are forwarded ... did i miss something lol ? Because every other config for other game work well except this one. Maybe i need to wait more time or something. But i guess starting a server is pretty quick for that game.

Is something broken again ?
