  1. If you want to, sure. AdoptOpenJDK or Adoptium are not required for this config to work - but if you do not set environment variables for JAVA8, JAVA11, JAVA16 and JAVA17, new installations of Minecraft services will use Adoptium by default.
  2. No, you can use whatever variant of Java that you want, as long as you've configured environment variables for them. There's no OpenJDK 17 from AdoptOpenJDK, though.
  3. What's New in Version 2.1.1 [Fixed] TCAdmin can now determine Java version when using Forge version 32.0.0 and later
  4. What's New in Version 2.1.0 [Changed] AdoptOpenJDK replaced with Adoptium (Termurin) [Changed] Now using SDKs instead of JREs. Adoptium will not be serving JRE. This will result in slower setup times and more file space being used. [Added] Java 17 Minecraft 1.18 snapshots now require Java 18. [Improved] Startup script can now detect when Java 17 is needed
  5. Ah, I see. I'll add Java 17 as soon as I get the time. It'll require some changes to the script that decides what version of Java to use when starting the server.
  6. There's currently no reason to upgrade to Java 17. The recommended version for Minecraft 1.17 is still Java 16. The Minecraft modpack installer will have an update as soon as I fix the Forge-problem with version 1.17 (still not related to Java).
  7. That's due to how Forge installation works after 1.17. I'll see if I can find a fix for it.
  8. You need to download the latest minecraft.jar and place it in your C:\TCAFiles\Games\minecraft folder.
  9. There's no need to change it to Java 17. Java 16 is recommended for Minecraft 1.17 and newer.
  10. What's New in Version 1.4.5 [Added] Log files are now saved in "<ServiceRoot>/logs/serverlogs/" [Changed] Ability to open .log files from the File Manager [Removed] Orphan script
  11. What's New in Version 1.4.4 After updating the config, please go to the Rust config and click "Update existing service". [Fixed] Shutdown script wasn't working properly @_george
  12. What's New in Version 2.0.3 [Added] Option to specify a total number of backups allowed. Default is 10. Change this in the "Backup World" script.
  13. What's New in Version 1.4.3 After updating the config, please go to the Rust config and click "Update existing service". [Fixed] After Start script has been modified to work past version 2.0.172.0 of TCAdmin.
  14. If you go to System > Settings > Game Tools, you will have the option to install games from Steam.
  15. I haven't been able to find the source of this. Could you please share it?
  16. Could you please attach the server log? Edit: I've just tried installing the latest version of Forge. The jar is not in a different folder.
  17. What issues are you facing, @Vicente? Please post the serverlog.
  18. Do you see any errors in the Monitor log on the master if you enable debugging?
  19. @conceptr980 Custom Mods have never been in the settings page. It has always been in the game config page. Try applying the update again and see if that fixes your issue.
  20. What's New in Version 1.4.2 [Fixed] Regex for WipeFiles textarea didn't allow new lines
  21. What's New in Version 1.4.1 [Fixed] Server would not start again when using "Wipe on Rust Wipe day" if uMod was installed [Fixed] Stopping the server could in some cases not work properly. A timeout has now been set for the rcon command that shuts down the server. [Fixed] XML errors in custom query script
  22. Sorry for the delayed reply. Using Paper doesn't fix that Java will use more RAM than you assign to it - but by default, Paper will use less RAM. It will still be able to go higher than the limit, though.
  23. Are you still experiencing that error? Have you made sure the service manager and monitor are running? If they are, try restarting both of them.
  24. What's New in Version 1.4.0 [Changed] Wipe Script [Added] Option to specify additional files that should be deleted during each wipe. This supports wildcards (*) [Added] Option to specify a list of seed to be used for wipes. [Added] When a seed is used, it can be removed automatically from the list
  25. It doesn't matter what you set the RAM limit to in TCAdmin - unless you also set a value for virtual memory. If no value for virtual memory is set, the process will keep using virtual memory (page file). TCAdmin will not be able to control the real memory usage of a Java application any better than you can control it outside of TCAdmin. It's just not possible due to the way heap size works.
