New Minecraft release - log is placed in /logs
Dennis replied to Dennis's topic in Game Config Files
I'm surprised that you don't go through the changelogs and check the date of this post. This question was asked before the option of having multiple files. That's why the developers never posted it in this thread. Changelog for 2.0.84.0 from 15th of December last year. http://clientforums.tcadmin.com/showthread.php?t=11377 I'm pretty sure the devs know more about their own product and how it works than you do. -
Allow clients to choose what emails to receive
Dennis replied to Dennis's topic in Feature and Module Ideas
Yeah, the last part is also mentioned in my first post. It should show up as a notification The problem is that we are hosting Minecraft services, and some of our clients think it is possible to host a HyperPixel/Mineplex kind of server on the smallest tier which results in a lot of mails being sent whenever their server restarts when it reaches the memory limit. Some clients' servers restarts as often as once every 5th minute sometimes. -
Allow clients to choose what emails to receive
Dennis replied to Dennis's topic in Feature and Module Ideas
I still think it would be a great option to allow clients to opt-out of certain emails. Anyone care to share their thoughts about this? This would also make it possible to put a "opt-out" link in the bottom of each email. -
Seems like the SPF record is working now (it's outputting 'pass'), but mails still end up in spam, and some aren't even sent. Those that aren't sent returns with this: It's pretty random what mails are being bounced back. Sometimes one mail is bounced back, but then I'll be able to send the exact same email 30 seconds later.

Thanks, I'll have a look at it this weekend.

I actually figured this out my own way. Started by inspecting nearly every div, and then I made changes from the browser. The changes were then written to another CSS file that I attached to the template.

Server selection: Server with less assigned memory
Dennis posted a topic in Feature and Module Ideas
Hi, I think a great feature would be the to make the billing API chose the server with the least amount of assigned memory. We're mainly hosting Minecraft, and constantly having to calculate how much assigned RAM we have for each server can be a pain in the ass. It would be nice if we could input how much memory a dedicated server has. Here's an example: Server 1 has 32GB of RAM with 15GB assigned. Server 2 has 64GB of RAM with 15GB assigned. When a client buys a new server, his server will be placed on Server 2, because this is the server with the least percentage assigned. I don't know if my english is understandable... I've been sick for almost a week now with constant headache. Tell me if I should explain the idea in details -
This may be a foolish question, but what can you do with the custom fields?

Tried opening a ticket?

I'm sure that OP is suggesting the ability to control settings regarding the use of the databases from TCAdmin

Bump

Well, we switched domain some days ago, and the first mails from TCAdmins was detected as spam while mails from WHMCS wasn't (same domain). The mails we're sending most is the when a Minecraft server hits the memory limit. Some of our clients think they can run everything on 512MB RAM, so sometimes the same type of email is sent to the same email adress once every five minutes. New clients receive their setup email in spam as well, and some clients don't think they received the email.
-
Yes, generally.
-
Wasn't on any blacklist. We can send mails through WHMCS and they don't end in the spam folder.
-
Hi, Ever since we started, we had this weird problem. Some of the mails we're sending are being sent to the clients spam folder instead of the inbox. Would it help running TCAdmin through SSL? Or is there anything else we can do to make sure it always end up in the inbox?

In the server's settings in TCAdmin.

I was sarcastic. Of course you're able to download Starbound through SteamCMD. My point was that you asked a question that had a really easy solution, and when you saw OP ask a 'stupid' question, you were telling him not to host servers for people. Getting a grasp on how the different game servers work and getting a grasp on how TCAdmin works are two different things. OP knows how to change the slot, but his problem had something to do with variables (config file for the wrong version of TCAdmin, probably?). I've been hosting CS:S servers since 2009 (just setting them up and configuring them for the fun of it). When I tried doing automating this process in TCAdmin back in February last year, I found it quite difficult. I searched on the forums, read the docs, played around with the configurations, and eventually I got it. Lack of support? I've been contacting Luis probably way too many times, and he always answers me within hours. They implemented BukGet when it was suggested that clients should be able to install plugins from the control panel, and when we suggested that searching in all categories would be a nice feature, they made it possible. I also asked Luis for help with the BungeeCord query protocol, and within a couple of hours he had a solution, which has now been implemented. Whenever I ask for him to reissue my TCAdmin license, it's reissued in a couple of hours (sometimes minutes). I also made a ticket regarding a bug when copying a mod, and less then 2 hours later he told me to upgrade to a new version that included a fix for this. I have had more than 30 closed tickets, and they are always willing to help. Sometimes I just have questions, sometimes it's ssuggestions and other times I'm experiencing problems. Knowing SteamCMD is pretty basic if you want to host servers such as Starbound - whether or not you're using TCAdmin. As far as I'm aware, the config file for Starbound was just made by the community and the person who made the config even told he could not get updates via SteamCMD working - that has nothing to do with faults in TCAdmin. Variables is not just 'basic knowledge', but it sure does help you. I don't mind people asking basic questions. I have probably done it myself. But for every question I've asked, I got a little more knowledge.
-
Oh, so the problem with Starbound was in fact that it wasn't configured correctly with SteamCMD? Wow, who would have thought that it could be an error in the config when it was a config created by the community and not an official config. OP has at no time said this was 'live' services. Questions are being asked on these forums. If you don't want to give a relevant answer, don't answer at all. If you want to help others, then do it. The fact that YOU also have asked for help is very ironic - even though you later solved the problem by yourself.
-
Basicly you could just stop caring. Whether or not he knows his way around TCAdmin and knows every single variable and option has nothing to do with if he can run servers or not. You yourself have asked some questions that I would find easy to solve. http://clientforums.tcadmin.com/showthread.php?p=70319#post70319 In the thread for Starbound, it's listed that the SteamCMD download aren't working. And if you look in the console, seeing that it's executing scripts is normal, even though there aren't any scripts. Experienced users of TCAdmin would know this. I don't think you should use TCAdmin for hosting. You clearly aren't experienced enough, and - according to yourself - you're not allowed to learn how to use TCAdmin by asking in the forums. There's a huge difference in running a server without TCAdmin and running it through TCAdmin. You will often find that the problems you're using too much time to solve has a very easy solution.
-
It's not quite possible in the way OP mentions it. It's possible for you to create a mysql user with a database automatically when a server is installed, but you can't specify how many databases a user can how and such. It would be very helpful if we could control this from TCAdmin!
-
Does this also include the query protocol for BungeeCord servers?

Game has 0 scripts. Executing event: AfterDelete
Dennis replied to okiedoke's topic in Linux Support
SteamCMD doesn't work with the Starbound config found on these forums. I think that's stated in the OP. -
Yeah, in the new update, Valve decided to forget about including the steam_appid.txt. I don't think they care at all. To fix it, create a file in you game server's root called steam_appid.txt and write 730 in it, then save it. Some people manage to get it working with 740.

We have had a problem. The service wouldn't run on our servers. Turned out to be our grs kernels that couldn't run with CS:GO and Gmod.
