Im downloading it now to take a look at the files. You may want to take a look at this: http://www.redorchestragame.com/downloads/manuals/Dedicated_ Server_Setup_Guide.pdf

so make a config and post it
-
Do they give out pickles Andy?

To provide ranked BF2 you must have a contract with EA and the last I heard there is a waiting list of over 100 companies looking to get ranked status. So if you don't have ranked status through EA, you cannot host ranked servers.
-
Yes. EA requires that you must keep most of the files and directories locked down. I will ask one of our other ranked providers if they might post their config here for ranked servers that they use.

As we don't have the files yet, I can't comment on the DirectX issue. but I would assume as the other RB6 games, that it simply looks for the DX driver files? If you install DirectX it should work. Again, once we get the files I will have to take a look at them. As I could be completely wrong....

I have heard diffeent stories regarding the dedicated server. We have requested the files from one of our clients to play around with. This post here doesn't look like it requires a vid card though. http://www.agr-s.com/upload/dedicated.jpg

Just create your own Then you can post it for the other users
-
I edited your post as you had left in the username and paassword for your ubi login. Have you gotten a server running?
-
That's not good. As far as the no multihomed problem. it's not really a problem. Simply tag the "use default IP" in the game config setup. That way the games will allways be put on the first IP but with a different port number for each. So you can still put a few on each box. As for graphics cards etc... You are on your own there Maybe some people will post more info once they have played with it a bit.

Default TFC should be something like the following file. The only thing you will need to add is the starting map to the end of the commandline. Half Life TFC.txt
-
If someone is looking for a plain TFC config they should post a request for it. This is a completely different config than the plain game and shouldn't be used unless the user intends to install AMX along with it. All the file links will most likely be incorrect, and the commandline is way off since it is calling the metamod.dll from it.
-
You would need metamod within the game installation along with AMX as well for this config to work properly. This is not a config for a plain TFC game. This config includes commands for metamod and AMX as well. Sounds like you tried to use this config for a plain TFC install, and not for what it was designed for.

I doubt anyone will have a config until after the game comes out at least.

After a quick Google search I have found that there is no dedicated server portion of the game you mentioned. You can run a dedicated server but there seems to be 2 problems with this. 1. From what I read you may be required to have the CD in the server drive and/or use some sort of iso mount to mimic the CD being there. 2. There is no way to specify an IP and/or port since the game doesn't lauch from a command, rather it uses some sort of dedicated laucher system. You can find some more info about it here: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/archive/index.php/f-274 -p-3.html

In my other sticky I have stressed the fact that configs posted here, may not work with your current configuration. There are many variables involved with these game configs. The most important one is the file paths to essential config files. A common problem we receive tickets on is someone will try to create a game server and get an error, or the server doesnt show up in the services list. Reason: The have an incorrect config file for that game. Fix: Located on the master server in C:\Program Files\TCAdmin Game Control Panel\Logs folder is numerous log files which collect errors and information. If you have a game server fail to install, look at the file called MonitorErrors.txt This file will give you the specific reason why the install failed. It will also give you the reason why, such as "Can't write to file xyz" This means your install files and file links are improperly set and the software cannot find the file to write to. This is due to a bad configuration for that game. Remember, the configs posted here come from many different sources. So don't import and assume they will work. You will need a knowlege of the game and of it's file structure before attempting to host it.

Since some people seem to misunderstand the purpose of config files I feel that a post is in order. Let me start by saying this: You need to know how to host a game before attempting to host it! It seems many people come to the forums and download a config file and think it will magically work. This is not so. These config files are meant to be used as a guide. There are a zillion different configurations that people can post, and they might not work with your current configuration. Also the requests for configs is getting a little out of hand. If you post a request, and no one answers, build one yourself. Why would any other GSP want to download a game and create a config for you, if that don't have one. What this shows is people are trying to host games they know nothing about. In short, if you can't setup and config a game with a panel, then don't host it! At least until you understand how the game works It seems the less experienced users like to take orders for games they know nothing about, then post a request for a config file for it. This is not what the forums are meant for. The forums are meant to share config files, not request that someone else do all the work for you to create a config.

Sounds similar to Nascar Racing. I know for nascar there is a start command you can feed it in the commandline to make it start. No knowlege of DTR2 though.

If you come across any info on the query, be sure to pass it on
-
This is the one we have in our test system. I haven't verified it works, so give it a once over before using it. Medal of Honor_ Allied Assault - Breakthrough.txt
-
rcon is not supported by TCAdmin for this game.
-
We'll have to have Luis take a look at it. If anyone has info or links on the query to post, that would be great
-
Maybe try All Seeing Eye compatibility? According to the docs, you have the correct port "34297"
